Sondex VideoLog Readme ====================== Sondex VideoLog acquires data from the Sondex Downhole Video Camera and displays it on a computer screen. In addition, it writes the data to a log file which can be played back at a later date. It can also capture individual frames, during logging or playback, and save then to a picture file The program operates on Windows 95, 98 and Millennium Edition only. It will not work on Windows NT, 2000 or XP. A minimum screen resolution of 800 x 600 is required. The program will operate on higher screen resolutions but the picture will be proportionally smaller. The display adapter must be set to True Colour mode (24-bit or 32-bit) otherwise the program will not start. This version of VideoLog is for the version of the panel which connects to the computer via the Sondex STDI or UTDI ISA card. To acquire data, you must have a Sondex Hardlock key (dongle) connected, enabled for VideoLog, otherwise the program will operate in playback mode only. The Hardlock drivers must also be installed. To install the program, unzip each file to a blank floppy disk and run the Setup program on Disk1. Alternatively, make a new directory on your hard disk and then unzip each downloaded file into this one directory. Then run the Setup program.
