SDS Tiff Driver for Windows 2000 / XP / Vista Version 1.0 Apr. 25, 2007 Product Description =================== SDS Tiff Driver is a printer driver for Microsoft Windows 2000, XP and Vista. It is installed and it operates like any other printer driver. However, instead of sending documents to a real printer, it creates a multi-page TIFF file that you can view with any image viewing application that supports multi-page TIFF files. It requires that Warrior V7.xx is installed and a valid access key (dongle) is attached to the system. Installation ============ Use the "Add Printer" icon in the control panel to add a new printer. Choose "Local Printer". DO NOT CHOOSE THE LPT1 port (the default) for the port to use for the printer. Create a new Local port and name it "NUL". Choose this port for the printer driver. When the new printer type is requested, choose "Have Disk...". Browse to the directory containing the SDSTiff.INF file on the installation disk. If given the option for output type, do NOT choose "print to file". You are now ready to use the new SDS Tiff printer from any Windows application. Configuration ============= For best results, switch off Print Optimizations in Printing Preferences - Advanced. For best results on a Printrex, define a new custom form under File - Server Properties in the Printers and Faxes folder. Name the form Custom 8.5 x 12.5 and set its width to 8.5 inches and its height to 12.5 inches. Then select this form as the paper size for this printer under Printing Preferences - Advanced and also under Device Settings - Manual Paper Feed.
