Electronic Engineer

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for major design and development tasks for new electro mechanical instruments involving system design, electronic design, component selection, development testing and design documentation.

Minimum qualification requirements:
Degree or diploma in electronic engineering.
Previous experience working in the field of electronic engineering.
Registration with APEGGA or ASET would be an advantage.

Experience and skills:
Proven track record of achievement and technical problem solving.
Comfortable with detailed design and analytical tasks.
Digital design skills to include logic design, PLD implementation, microprocessor circuitry and some coding experience.
Analogue design skills to include op-amp circuitry and interface circuitry, i.e. analog to digital conversion. Knowledge of power switching and switched mode power supplies would be beneficial.
Oilfield / downhole tool experience an asset
A basic understanding of mechanical engineering and computer systems, although not essential, would also be an advantage.
Computer literate, experience of PCB design software essential.

Candidate must currently possess all the necessary work and residency permits to work in Canada.
